Anyone else practicing elimination communication? I just started with Owen about a month and a half ago, and it's been going really well. I can usually catch 4-5 potty's a day, and he's always soo happy afterwards. Best of all I haven't had a really poopy diaper in over a month!!

I don't really know anything about EC. I guess I'll have to read up on it. Or maybe you can tell me a little more about it. Does the little one just go without a diaper all day? And how do you know when it's potty time? BTW, I'm glad it's going well for you so far!

I ready Early Start Potty Training. It was pretty good, and very inspirational. I started with going on the potty when I knew he would, like when he first gets up in the morning and after a nap. After a month, he now knows what the potty is for, and in the past couple of weeks or so, we've been trying other times. When he doesn't need to go, he cries when we go in the bathroom, and when he does need to go, he doesn't. When he's done doing his business, he puts his arms up. I've been working on the sign for potty, but I think he's just beginning to understand gestures as a way of communicating, so it might be a little while for that one. Once we've established that it should be really easy.

BTW, we do do a diaper free wind down time before bed (usually 30 -60 min), other than that he wears a diaper all day. Good luck!
